The GFNC has several groups, specialising in different aspects of natural history. Some have their own meetings (listed in the Coming Events) while others

specialise in surveys, conservation and environmental issues.

Members participate in .....

  • Monthly field trips to local areas of natural significance, observing plants, birds and all other living things.
  • As well, we note the geology and fossils of local sites plus evidence of traditional owners' occupation in the region.
  • Illustrated presentations by leaders in natural environment subjects.
  • Bushland, coastal and alpine campouts.
  • Flora and fauna surveys.
  • Conservation projects.

See the pages devoted to the different groups for more information.
