Report your observations: Click on a category...
Members can enter their field observations by clicking on the pictures above or via the pull-down menu on the Home page.
Choose the category that suits your observation.
Begin by entering information in the boxes. Our new reporting system streamlines the entry of species, which are chosen from pull-down lists.
You can enter a place name in the "Location" box and press the "Geocode" button. The software will find the coordinates and place the map pointer on the location (be aware that overseas places with the same names might come up.) Adding "Vic." to the name often helps (Victoria is also a city in Canada but is seldom abbreviated). Sometimes other locations may share the same names, so please check the map. You can move the map pointer to the location with your mouse. It is possible to zoom in and out with the mouse scroll wheel or the arrow icons on the map. If you are more confident using road maps, thre is a button on the map that will switch the display. When you have finished, press the "Save" button at the bottom of the page or "Reset" if you have made a mistake and wish to start again. To add another record, click the "Add" button.

Please give credit for the observations if you make use of them in publications.
